Kyrgyz Cashmere
Proudly supplying dehaired cashmere from the Kyrgyz Republic
The Vision of Kyrgyz Cashmere
To see cashmere from Kyrgyzstan have an independent and honored identity among the world’s finest fibers.
Our Background
Kyrgyzstan was one of the primary fiber-producing republics of the Soviet Union. When the Soviet Union collapsed, the Kyrgyz fiber industry was greatly affected. This negatively affected the country’s large pastoral population both economically and socially. Kyrgyz Cashmere aspires to serve as one of the catalysts towards fiber production and processing in Kyrgyzstan returning to greater economic viability. Kyrgyz Cashmere has traveled extensively throughout the context of Kyrgyzstan and focuses on sourcing the highest quality cashmere from the indigenous goat breed. These luxurious fibers are directly stewarded by their team from the point of purchase in the high-mountain valleys through the purifying process of dehairing in their own production facility in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
Locally Powered
Connecting Kyrgyz herdsmen to the world market.
